With over 400 total projects completed, our investments span use types including retail, office, storage, multifamily, single family, and industrial. In addition to ground-up development, we have a passion for adaptive reuse assets and finding ways to creatively reposition century-old properties.
East Lansing Storage
Completed fall of 2023, East Lansing Storage offers space for up to 750 tenants to securely store their valued possessions in its 85,000 sq ft footprint. The project consists of 7 buildings, with the primary structure featuring a prominent brick facade and storefront display.
REO Gateway Apartments
Opened in fall of 2023, the REO Gateway apartments are home to 72 units, serving as a connector between downtown Lansing and the REO Town neighborhood. This project will substantially benefit the walkability of the Washington Avenue corridor, greatly benefitting the Lansing community.
Terra Vista
Completed in early 2023, Terra Vista brought 8,000 sq. ft. of retail space to Bath Township., featuring Dunkin' Donuts, Barry Bagels, and Flora as tenants. This facility sits conveniently located at the corner of Saginaw St. and Old M-78 just off the I-69 interchange.
Holmes Street School Apartments
Built in 1923, the Holmes Street School served elementary school students for over seven decades before closing in 2000. Having sat vacant for over 20 years, it has seen new life as doors opened to residents in early 2023, featuring 47 high-end, historic-focused apartments.
Artist's Avenue
Rehabbed in 2015, this 1929 factory building was converted to 29 micro-loft style apartments after a significant fire that left the building in disrepair. Today, these units embrace the historic nature of the building, feature exposed brick, and original limestone.
The Hive
Built in 1958, this 16,000 square foot building was purchased by Dymaxion in 2016 and redeveloped to include 46 small business-centric offices, including the Dymaxion home office. Paired with The People's Kitchen, Escape Breakout Rooms, and dozens of other unique tenants, The Hive offers a hub of activity.
Harvest Park
Opened in 2022, this 44,000 square foot light industrial building is leased to a major cannabis operator and conveniently located in Windsor Township, Michigan.
7977 Centerline Dr
The former home of well-known Lansing area basketball facility, Aim High, 7977 Centerline was purchased by Dymaxion in 2019. This site was repositioned to a light industrial use, with four loading docks being added. The site is now home to tenants Norm Fasteners and LaserShip.
9410 Davis Hwy
The former home of The Summit, 9410 Davis Hwy functioned as a popular sports & recreation facility until it was purchased in 2019. This property was repositioned and sold to a national REIT.
340 Edgewood
Acquired early 2024, this 137,000 square foot former Sam's Club location comes with 6 loading docks, high ceilings, and multiple grade level doors. There are currently several prospective tenants the team is working to incorporate into this building.
Project Forge
Recently approved, Project Forge will serve as the North American Headquarters for Norm Fasteners. The project will entail approximately 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space, substantial foreign direct investment, and significant job creation. The project is expected to break ground in spring of 2024.
The Wilson Center St Johns
Built in 1925 as a high school for St Johns, MI, the Rodney B. Wilson Center is a historic cornerstone to the St Johns community. Upon purchasing in 2021, Dymaxion Development has received approval for 49 apartments to function alongside city-owned community spaces including the Gymnasium and Auditorium. Construction is set to begin early 2024.
The Ovation
Serving in the capacity of Owner's Representative for the City of Lansing, Dymaxion Development is managing the development of a 2,000 person concert and entertainment venue in the heart of downtown Lansing. The project is expected to break ground late 2024.
